    Blogger Burnout

    Some of you may have noticed my absence in blogland as of late. Some of you couldn't give a flying crap. I have been spending ridiculous amounts of time surfing blogs. It was too the point were I came home and turned on the computer and ignored everything. It was my way out of real life. I enjoyed reading what others were up too even if it was what they ate for breakfast. I read blogs to get to know the blog owner. I say blog owner since most of us are not writers nor do we claim to be. It's a place where we can put our thoughts and ideas no matter how screwy they are. While reading I always look for similarities between myself and the blog owner. It's amazing to learn how different we all really are. I can't find one person that is even similar to me in my ways of thinking and life. This is what keeps it interesting. I still can't figure out why reading about people that we will never really know or get a chance to meet is so intriguing. It's something I cannot explain to people in my life. I try to tell them that it's like having an interactive journal with penpals that can let you know their feelings on things that are relevant in your life and theirs.

    So, I decided this last week to take it easy and quit worrying that I haven't posted something everyday or commented on all of my friends' sites. I hope you can all understand that sometimes we have to take time for what is "real" in our lives. I have a feeling that I'll be back to posting regularly soon because I still think about things to blog about but sit at the computer and draw a complete blank. I assure you that I really did at one time have something intersting to blog about.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    I thought I would throw in a laugh. I found this picture in with some high school stuff. I'm on the right. Check out my Swatch watches on each arm. I think that is my Kung Fu kick ass pose? How about that 80's hair ? Remember those huge owl eye glasses. Good times I tell ya!
    Now, if you want to talk about big hair, I had it. This isn't even as big as it got! Please keep in mind that there is a shadow behind my head that makes my hair look much bigger than it actually was. I can't tell you how many hours I spent bent over at the waist scrunching my hair as I dried it. After that, you had to tease it and hairspray the hell out of it. If you got caught in the rain you had to run for cover because you and your hair were done. What a sticky mess that was!
    Notice my penchant for jewelry. I have my great grandma's Bavarian crystal necklace on. Not bad with the dress, right? Move on down to my wrists and notice my beautiful gold and silver bracelets on my right arm and my trendy Swatch watch on my left. You can't really see my rings but I'm sure they were shell rings I got in Florida on spring break. Gawd, I was such a fashionista!
    Bring on the comments! I'm ready to take a beating (I think)!
    Jenn, I believe it's our differences and cultures which make us gel so well.
    You seem to have a similar sense of humour as myself. Although we are many miles apart in some strange way I seem to have clicked with certain people, you being one of them (at least I think so. LOL).
    I hope you find your blogging mojo and come back full steam soon. Until then I will keep dropping by to see you.
    Suze~I feel so honored to think that we have gelled. I adore you and look forward to your comments. Never fear, I'm on the road back to Bloggerville!
    Jenn: Your's was one of the first blogs I visited. Don't even remember how I found you. But I consider you a buddy and have since the beginning. After all, we both love girly things and car dancing~oh, and blogging and we don't sleep in the same bed as our husbands....shit! I have more in common with you than with people I see every week! ;-)
    I love the pics~btw. As for your big hair and jewelry~girl, we ALL had that back then! It was the "style", BABY!!
    *hugs*
    I could have written the beginning of this post! No ass whuppin from me lol. I have also sinned in the eyes of the blogworld. But you know what? Fuck that! Write when you feel like it; we'll read it as it comes :)
    That hair is the best thing I have ever seen! And the shadow adds to the bigger than life feeling.
    I updated my navel blog with three new navels. Thanks for demanding that I do that. You are my favorite, signgurl!
    First I am going through the same thing. I have certainly cut back. Luckily I went to the parade and that gave me something to have fun with but other than that I find it hard coming up with things. Also I have things that need tending to. At the same time I miss not visiting people or not seeing people when they are not around.
    Do what you must and we will see each other when we do. You know it is funny how much I feel close to some people out there when every one is so very different. I especially love the fact that I can get to know people that are so close I could walk there and also others that are in a continent that it would take over a day to get to. Anyway be around when you can and I will be happy when you are there.
    As to the pictures I think you look good in them so no picking on you from this end. I love pictures from the past, I keep threatening to do the same thing but have not went through pictures.
    For the first picture, I have no words....I know that's almost impossible, but I don't. For the second, I think you were a straight up hottie! Even with the swatches, I had 10 of them....
    It's hard to come up with something to blog about everyday. I love your trips down memory lane though. I can so relate. But where's your Forenza belt and why isn't that collar popped?
    I don't mind if you post less often, but please don't stop blogging. I'm very selective about blogs, so it takes me a lot of work to find the ones I really like. Yours is one of my favorites.
    Very interesting what you posted about. I have a similiar post, but I took a different route. Curiousity is killing me.
    I have been experiencing the same thing Jenn, a need to step back a bit and find time in my life for other things again.
    I try to visit every one of my links everyday and it sometimes gets to the point that is all I spend my time doing but I don't want to miss any of my friends posts..
    Welcome back and we'll just enjoy you when you are here...
    Love the big hair btw.
    Navel~I so wish big hair would come back in. Thanks for the update alert!
    Barman~I'm noticing that most of us are going through some form of burnout. It seems like most of us started at the same time so maybe that is why.
    Laurie~Swatches were so fun!
    Cute Lady~I wonder why you have no words for that first picture?
    Nonny~Believe me, I had the Forenza belts goin on. I was wearing a royal blue one in the top picture with my beautiful blue silk skirt. Heh!
    Sal~Desirable? Ha! Those pictures should be burned.
    Gary~thanks for making me one of your stops!
    Jodes~I'll check it out.
    Pirate~I do find similarities but seem to find more differences in our daily lives. I think we all have the same basic needs.
    Tumble~I hope you find them! Sounds hot!
    TC~You are such a sweetie! Take some time when you need to. We'll be waiting for you.
    WOOOOO! That IS some big hair. I need to find my big hair pics. Actually what you'd probably get the biggest laugh out of is my "Farrah phase". ACK!
    I understand exactly what you mean by it taking up so much of your time. I still have a kitchen to paint and a dog to train. All of which have been on the back burner since I started this stuff. Sometimes you just have to walk away and get some real life living done.
    I never claimed to be a writer. I did, however, claim to be the sole purveyer of Gist. You won't find a better Gist peddler this side of the Mississippi. For as the Taker of Gist, I can give discounts on any number of Gist-related products, both real and unreal. A corporation? No, ma'am! Gist is a science! Gistology is a complex process.
    CrabCakeYou have the hottest profile pictures! I want to see the Farrah phase!
