    Free lunch

My (step) dad and I went to lunch as we do every day. There are only three restaurants to choose from in the small town that I grew up in. We chose the Depot Diner like we do at least once a week. It's kind of the hang out for area farmers.

Coming from a farming family, I know most of the area farmers. A good family friend, Dallas, who is a farmer was sitting at a large round table with two men that we didn't know. There were two empty seats and the rest of the tables were full. He invited us to pull up a chair. A middle aged gentleman was introduced to us and he introduced his son in law to his right. I shook hands with both men and the older man said, and I quote, "You have the most beautiful hair. It looks like golden sunshine and spring all rolled into one. It makes me happy." I giggled as I watched the other three men check out my 'do.

We had a fun lunch chit chatting about the world. The two newcomers were very interested in what everyone else had to say and were also very polite. I really enjoyed my time.

The waitress came around and handed out the bills. We didn't get one so assumed that she didn't have it ready. When my dad went to pay, the older man said, "Your money is no good here. I feel great today. Ask me how the seed business is." So we each did as he asked. He informed us that this had been a business lunch and it was on him.

I did think that my hair did look fabulous this morning as I got ready. Now I know it wasn't just me that thought it. *laughing*

It is amazing when a day like today comes along. And you know why it happened? You finally saw some of what we have been telling you all along. You are one awesome person Jenn and when you notice so does everyone else.

I made up for your day by having a bad day at work but in the end I stayed over 40 minutes and I feel good about the day. Now however I have a big smile on my face hearing about your day. Yea!

Ell~I don't know about hot, but I was full!

Barman~Sorry your day sucked. Mine was awesome. :-P

Buddha~You know you are hot! Admit it.

Navel~I can see that your hands were so excited that you screwed up.

Cutie~I'm going to make a habit of being cute and getting free lunches. Wait a minute, does that constitute prostitution?

Suze~I'm sure you have no problem in that area. I would so love to do lunch with you.

    Gary~Thank you.

Deb~My hope with the template was too simplify. I'm not sure I accomplished that but I tried.

    Sal~What about dessert?

KJ~They are so few and far between that I've got to savor them when they come.

    Pissy~*blush* Thank you!

MamaK~Small towns are the best. I like knowing who everyone is. I also like the anonymity I have living in a large city.

    Jodes~Where have you been?

Cadbury~Hair on my head as opposed to, say, my back? Haha!
