    Poof! 80 Pounds Gone!

As of this morning, I have officially lost exactly 80 pounds! I lost 18 pounds in the two weeks before surgery. That makes 62 pound since surgery on October 25, 2006, just over 3 months ago. Can you tell I'm a little excited?

I'm feeling great these days. I feel almost human. I've noticed that people hold doors for me again instead of slamming them in my face when I'm only a few feet behind them. I'm saddened to think that people somehow think that because I'm fat, I don't deserve to be treated well. I try to treat everyone as I would like to be treated.

I'm reminded of the things I have gained along this journey. One of them is more freedom of movement. I find I'm less winded when walking and sometimes look back to where I have been in awe. I walk all over and don't even realize it. My knees feel slightly better when traversing the stairs but they are still not 100% yet.

I've had to move the seat forward in my van and also drop the steering wheel.

I can easily get in and out of bed and wake up feeling refreshed instead of exhausted.

I can stand all day long at my job and not feel like I can't move at the end of the day.

I realize I have a long way to go but the benefits I already see are amazing!

That is a great accomplishment, Sign-gurl. I had another frustrating run in with "This week in poundage". No loss. Nada. But here's the deal - I'm not eating enough protein. Last night I bought a nice salmon, got it home and it was bad. Stinking bad. So we ended up eating nutted couscous and yoghurt. Not such a great protein choice. I so don't like eating.

INSPIRING! Lemme tell ya, I just saw some of the photos from Christmas and I wondered who gave my daughter that life-sized Jabba The Hut doll. Yep, it was me.

I really DO miss my Nordic Track and that great feeling of eating properly and having a spring in my step.

You & the Hubby - Keep up the good work!

As far as you have come just think where you will be in another 3 months or in a year. Some things people take for granted will be easy for you. You have made so much progress and I am so proud of how you have done.

Just think if you were able to pick up 10 gallons of milk at one time ... that is about how much weight you have lost. Just simply amazing. No wonder there is so much of an improvement.

    Yea SingGurl!!!

80 pounds. Wow. It makes sense that you'd be feeling more energetic. Currently I have my own poundage to dump. Holiday eating. Gets me every time cuz I have NO willpower on the sweet stuff. And I can feel a definite difference in my energy levels when I pack on more butt.

You're doing so well, Sign. I can't even tell you how proud I am of you.

Like you, I treat everybody the same. I couldn't even imagine being rude to anybody because of what they weigh or the color of their skin. It's unthinkable to me.
