    I Survived!

I had endometrial ablation yesterday. As expected, I got lots of drugs but unfortunately, they wore off too quick.

There were 4 people in the room with me including 2 nurses, the doctor and the guy who runs the machine. I thoroughly enjoy meeting new people while my hoo ha is flapping in the wind.

The office was completely closed down for the morning for my procedure. That was a little trippy to be the only patient there.

I was doing great until the doctor pulled out a needle that was at least 12" long. I'm not exaggerating either. When someone comes at your privates with a needle that big, you start to sweat like a whore in church (not that I know that first hand, hehe).

In all, I received 12 shots including 6 directly into "the mole". Ouch!! I didn't even get to keep the mole. It was a monster. They had to send it out to the lab.

I did really well and the doctor was amazed at how relaxed I was. I guess I fooled him because I was scared shitless.

After the procedure, the staff makes you wait for a couple of hours just to make sure you are ok. That was the worst part because the medications were wearing off. I have a super high tolerance for pain, but dayum it felt just like being in labor only I didn't get a baby to keep in the end.

After we finally got home, I was still so drugged that I fell asleep on the toilet, twice. Thank God I didn't fall off and crack my head open.

I feel much better today, but the doctor really wants me to stay home even tomorrow. I'll probably go to work anyway.

The doctor himself called me last night to see how I was doing. He also gave me this beautiful rose before I left the office. At least I got something to show for all of this.

I haven't even combed my hair in this picture and have no make up on either. So suck it! This is the real me, haha!

I'm glad it all went well! I hope you do decide to stay home and rest... that is, after all, what the doctor ordered!

At least it's all over now - as long as you don't pushing yourself too much while you should be recovering.

Take it easy, while you have an excuse.

ok, i had to pick myself up off the floor when you said hoohaw flapping in the wind.

i am glad things went well. use lots of drugs and make sure you have someone spot you when you use the toilet next time. ;)

Donna~ I'm trying to rest, but it's hard when there is so much to do.

    Sal~ Thank you!

    Not2Shy~ I'm so thankful that it's over.

Ell~ I'm just keepin' it real by showing the world what I look like when I get out of bed, haha!

Lime~ You sneaked in there. Really is there a more vulnerable position to be in? I should have made Mr. Sign stay home to spot me on the toilet as I'm still quite groggy.

I had this done a couple of years ago Jen, it worked out GREAT for me. No MORE FREAKING PERIODS. Yes!

Hope you feel better quick and that SUCKS about no hospital. I was out like a light, thankfully.

    SignGurl said...

~Milkmaid~ I would have preferred to be out. It was pretty sucky being able to feel everything.

I hope mine works as good as yours did!

Suck it? AHHHHHHHHHHHHH HA HA HA HA HA! You're a nut.

Dude, if you can grab a day without combing your hair or getting all spruced up...take it! Anyhow, I wouldn't of known the dif if you hadn't told us. You still look good anyhow, ya brat!

The doc gave you a rose after he worked on your hoohaw? I don't wanna be the only one to say it but....course I will. He's obviously got a crush on YOUR hoohaw! Hoohaw crushes are very common.

    SignGurl said...

Naughty K~ Thank you so much!

Crabolator~ Yes, that's right. The doctor has a crush on my hoo ha. He said it was the most beautiful one he's ever seen and immediately was gobsmacked. He's seen a lot of hoo ha's so that's saying a lot about mine.

Yikes! Glad to hear everything turned out ok. A friend of mine was told that she needed that procedure but was too scared to have it done. Now she bleeds through nighttime pads in addition to a tampon. BAD times.

    TMI. *shrugging*

I hate blogger today. I've had to write this comment three times already. I wish I looked that good _with_ make-up and done hair. You look super!

Take advantage of your drugs and your doctors advice and stay the freak home tomorrow. You don't really want to start bleeding like a faucet with the cramps from hell, do you?

World-class hoo-ha, eh? Think you'd be brave enough to put that on a sash and wear it out for the universe? ;)

    Feel better!

I think the real you is STUNNING! Damn drugs...

You should stay at home and off of your feet just to avoid any unwanted complications.

You know, this just went through my mind...you know, watch me while I pull a rabbit out of my hat...I'll bet the Dr. said, watch me as I pull a rose out of Jenn's wooohaa!

    Sorry...couldn't resist.

    luv ya!

S~ I'm so happy that your mole is cute. Mine was a monster, I tell ya!

    Keyser Soze~ Merci!

Buddha~ I have the same TMI as your friend. I'm hoping this gets rid of it.

Fox~ You are really too kind.

    Evalinn~ Thanks!

*S*~ Blogger is being an old bitty today for sure. If you make me the sash, I'll wear it, haha!

Jillie~ I'm glad you saved that pulling a rabbit out of the hat thing until after the procedure. Otherwise I would have laughed so much that my ass would be shaking all over the place.

I'm happy you're doing good jenn.

What were you thinking? You're not suppose to watch them.. Close your eyes like I do and tell them the pain level is 15 for crying out loud. Jeez, I don't even want to sit down enymore.

    Wow! That's a rough moment!!!
And you need any make up... you are simply gorgeous!

Manny~ Sitting has been a bit of an issue.

    SeaRabbit~ Thank you so much!

BTE~ The innards are feeling a bit smoky.

G-Man~ I never thought of charging admission. I could have made at least a buck.

well, damn. you still look gorgeous even after all you went thru, sign gurl!

I am glad it went okay and that you are now at home recovering. the hoo-ha "flapping in the wind" comment had me laughing my butt off. you're a riot!

    have a fabulous weekend!! :)

    i'm glad you did well.

our office is going to start doing those-i hear the procedure only takes 90 seconds from start to finish but it's how you deal with those 90 seconds that matters.

lol @ you fallin' asleep on the potty!! bless your heart.

    SignGurl said...

Katie~ Your post today had me laughing my hoo ha off!

Kimmy K~ This particular procedure lasts 9 minutes. It's not the NovaSure method. The doc said I would have to be in the hospital for that one. I must be doing much better today because I only fell asleep in my chair instead of on the throne.

You look wonderful sans makeup too!

I had the ablation done this month last year. best thing ever - no more Aunt Flo! WOOHOO!
But they knocked me out for the whole thing.
I came to afterwards and went to WalMart shopping - no joke.
    Hang in there kiddo!

Sign!! Just like Lime, I totally got the giggles after you said hoo ha in the first post...and I could barely read the second newer post because I kept cracking up thinking about it!!

Anyway, all giggly fits aside, I am so happy you are okay. I think your doctor is so awesome for doing that for you and I also think a rose is much nicer than a mole. ;)
