    The Weekend In Pictures

Mr. Sign received his Master's Degree (MBA) on Saturday at Ford Field where the Detroit Lions play. We got there very early and got the best seats in the house. We were sitting in the end zone right in front of where the goal post goes.

This is what the layout looked like before all the graduates came in:

    and after:

Here is daughter #2, Mom and step dad:

The processional began with bagpipes and the color guard bringing in the flags:

Mr. Sign after receiving his diploma:

My parents with Mr. Sign in front of Comerica Park where the Detroit Tigers play. Ford Field and the Park are located right next to each other:

Me, Mr. Sign and #2. #1 is at orchestra camp until Sunday so
    she missed all the excitement:

Here is the food table. Mr. Sign had his party with a friend from his learning team. She did the decorating (*rolls eyes, tacky, much?). Mr. Sign and I did all of the food. Who knew I was a caterer?

I had the brilliant idea of doing Mexican food. It turned out awesome! People could make tacos, nachos, burritos or taco salad. The crowd was pleased with my choice.

Here is a picture board I made for Mr. Sign.
His diplomas, gown and hood are here as well:

Here is the friend who had the party with us, Mr. Sign
and another person from his learning team:

    The hoods:

Mr. Sign and me after 4 hours of catering,
entertaining and just being overly pleasant:

We figure that almost 100 people came to the party at my grandparents' pond. It's a great place, but does not have electricity and you have to use a hand pump outdoors to get water. We have learned to adapt and have had many parties with over 300 in attendance and all without the luxury of modern day conveniences. We like it that way.

    I need to rest now.

Might I say that Mr Sign so looks like a professor in those pictures. He is looking mighty handsome in a totally not gay way. LOL

The food sounds awesome. I so could use some nice Mexican. If I could make something resembling nachos I would be in heaven. Well that and a margarita. *hick*

What is it with Michigan and bagpipes? Is it everywhere or just Michigan? Now don't get me wrong but I love bagpipes... they just seem to be everywhere.

I saw the front of Comerica Park for the first time when I went to see the Redwings parade. Nice looking park but I have never been inside. Ford field is gorgeous. I need to visit the Hockey Town bar. It looks like a lot of fun.

Wow, being able to have a 300 person party sounds wonderful. Without modern day conveniences sounds fine as long at there are OK restrooms.

    What a wonderful post Sign.

What a minute Lime, I read a earlier post ... isn't that bare necessities instead? Sorry, could not resist.

Great job with the catering... We do Mexican buffet a lot; pretty common here in Texas. Everyone loves it.
