    Proms, eh?

When I was 15, I was in love with a guy that was my best friend. His name was Doug. He was tall, about 6'2", muscular and athletic. He was also brilliant and I had fun trying to keep up with him intellectually. I never told him how much I adored him but I think he knew.

I tried to get to him through his best friend, Frank. Frank was not overly fond of me at first since he knew I liked his friend. We had a computer class together and ended up being partnered together. Soon we were talking about how I could get to Doug.

I began to flirt with Frank to try to make Doug jealous. Frank had no problem flirting back and it became a fun game.

Doug got involved with someone else but we remained great friends and I always held a place for him in my heart.

The flirtations with Frank continued and always went something like this:

    Frank: I like your jeans.

    Me: Thanks, they are new.

Frank: Let's talk about how I'm going to get into them.

Me: You got the place, I got the time. (of course I was all talk)
Frank: Meet me after school and I'll give you the place.

Me: Uhhh....I think I have softball practice. (I lied)

There came a day when I somehow ended up in Frank's car and we were on my way to my house, or so I thought. He took a detour but I didn't panic. As we approached a field of wheat that was about 18 inches high I began to sweat. He pulled his Camero (yeah he had a cool car) into the field and then I continued to play his game still throwing out the innuendos to keep the game going. Once the car stopped, I opened my door and stepped out. Before I knew what hit me, he was on top of me and my pants were half off and I could feel his hardness against my thigh. I squirmed and slithered out and told him that I wasn't that kind of girl. (I really wasn't!) He jumped off of me with a smirk and said, "I win!". And he did. He had done it just to call my bluff.

    I was hooked.
I suddenly forgot all about Doug. I loved that Frank respected me enough to listen to my wishes and abided by them. I was sure that we would have a relationship.

We spent lots of time together mostly at his house doing homework or just hanging out several times a week. I was very shy and remained a virtuous girl. There was never more than a quick hand holding session under a blanket. This went on for more than a year. I so desparately wanted it to be more than just friends but didn't know if he felt the same way. Being so shy I could never talk about my feelings for him and I assumed that he was aware of mine.

By the second year things between us had progressed to him always trying to cop a feel. I was so nervous that the farthest it went was him unhooking my bra and a few quick feels. I wanted to do more but my brain told me that it was not right. Frank never wanted anything to do with me at school or in front of people but was all over me in private. This hurt my feelings but being naive, I kept coming back.

Frank's best friend, Scott, was hanging out with us one night and it was time for me to leave. The boys walked me out to my car and Scott asked Frank if he was going to kiss me. Frank said, "No". Scott grabbed me and planted a long hard kiss with tongue and said, "This is what you should be doing with this beauty!" I'll never forget the look on Frank's face and I wish I could have seen mine. Frank was rendered speechless as I jumped in my car and drove off with the taste of my crushes' friend on my lips. I wanted it to be Frank that had kissed me. I could not understand why he was leading me on and why I continued to let him.

Not long after that, we were in Frank's house watching a movie sharing a blanket. He would cover my head and kiss me tenderly. I was in heaven! I had waited years for this! It didn't go further since his little brother caught us and made fun.

Frank's parents loved me maybe even more than they loved him. His mom encouraged me to hang around and his dad, who was an alcoholic, always hung all over me drooling. They asked me to come to their cabin in Northern Michigan for a week with the family. I was ecstatic!

Frank and I drove up in his car alone. He was very short with me hardly speaking. I didn't know what his problem was but I was sure that he was mad that his parents had asked me to come up. I decided to ignore him and played a game of flirting with passengers in cars as we passed them. Eventually we had a car that was following closely trying to catch up. Once they did it was obvious that they wanted to flirt with me and Frank was pissed. I asked him why he cared since he didn't seem to want me. He didn't answer and we spent the week not speaking to each other. Good Times!

We ended up leaving several hours before the rest of the family and ended up back at his house alone. He still was mad and decided that he was going to kiss me but not nicely. He roughly threw me on the couch and began ripping at my clothes and kissing me hard on the mouth. Luckily I was able to throw him back off of me, straighten my clothes and left steaming.

He called me as soon as I got home and appologized for the entire week. He said that his parents had been presurring him to get good grades, get a job and keep me. He was frustrated and I hadn't helped matters.

On it went. Me coming to his house and him ignoring me at school. It wasn't like people didn't know that I liked him. He just didn't want to admit publically that he liked me. I don't know what was wrong with him and apparently neither did his dad. One night Frank and I were studying in his room and his dad came in. He threw a couple of packs of condoms on the desk and said, "If you don't use those on her then I will!" and he left. Frank had that deer in the headlights look and continued to work.

Why am I telling you all of this drivel? Well, I'm getting there....

So prom was approaching and I was sure that Frank would ask me to the Junior Prom. Well, he did and he didn't. He actually asked someone formally to go and not me! He said that he had told a girl when they were 10 that they would go to the prom together. I was humiliated!

Two of my best friends and I ended up going stag. Here is a picture of us. These were the most hideous dresses I can imagine! I'm on the left. My friend Becky is on the right wearing something from an undertaker's shop. We thought we were so cool.

Here we are again in an action shot.

The stupid part about the Junior Prom is that his mother asked me to come over before his date did and have pictures taken with him and I DID! Ugh, I'm repelled by the thought of me being such a loser. I couldn't find any pictures with him in them. I also ended up with him after the prom after he took his date home. Can you all say LOSER?

Things continued on as they had before and we entered our Senior year. This begins our third year NOT TOGETHER, but together. When the Senior prom rolled around I knew that if he didn't ask me that I would have to hunt him down and kill him. He did ask and I accepted. He brought me a corsage and picked me up in his uncle's Corvette. He had stopped and picked lilacs and placed them all over in the car so it smelled beautiful.

This is the dress that I chose to wear. I know some of you are going to say that it looks like a wedding dress but I assure you that I assessorized with black so that it didn't appear that way. The back had a huge black bow on it. Ok, I'll admit, it still looked like a wedding dress.

Drumroll please.......here is Frank the Fucker and me..........

He looks all goonish because he sort of had the Flock Of Seagulls haircut. Keep in mind that I had on 5 inch heels since he is 6'2". He was also one of the skinnest people I have ever known.

He was also a joker.......he's pinching my ass here.

There is more to the Frank saga but I will save it for another day since this got longer than Bill Clinton's penis in a roomful of hookers.

Oh no ... I suspect this is going to be good. Frank the Fucker ... yep!

By the way, I kept waiting for you to drop the bomb and say that Frank is gay. Just the way the parents were acting and how things went and all.

I can not believe what the Dad said and did. I can not say my parents ever did anything like that.

By the way, where were you when I was in high school ... Oh, you were in grade school ... oh well.

I DID NOT go to my junior Prom, though apparently I was on all the guys "If all else fails" List.

I don't think you are a loser, I'd have done the same.

I'm still thinking about how cute you look.

Chances are Frank's life has turned out less than perfect.

What happened to Doug in all of this? This Frank guy seems to have this 'bi-polar sex drive' with you. Not liking him at all in this post!

You look beautiful in your prom dress though!

I think HE was the loser! Though you were apparently a bit too much of a softie. That's not all bad though. :)

And I could have sworn that was your wedding dress until I actually read down that far! LOL

I will not tag with with being just like me SG but in some ways it is scary. You were not a loser. You just invested way to much time where you should have walked away. As long as you learned from this then good for you. And I think you looked great in your dress.
