    Feeling a little lonely

The girls have been gone since last Friday. They went camping in Northern Michigan with my parents. I really miss them, even their endless vibrant chatter (I beg #2 to stop talking for 5 minutes daily).

Since the parental units are gone, I am left to run the sign shop alone. I've been working 10 hours a day with no human interaction. The phone has only rung once. Man, it's boring. I have been able to accomplish more work than I ever imagined.

This weekend brings a busy one. My two best friends from high school are coming to visit tomorrow. We are going to my grandparents pond (my safe haven) where we spent much of our youth. I can't wait to see them. Neither of them has children.

Saturday, #1 is having a camping sleep over at the pond with 5 girls for her 14th birthday. We will also celebrate with the rest of the family & friends. There will be about 40 people there. It's always a fun time.

I can't believe that my baby is going to be 14 and will attend high school this fall. How can I be that old? It seems that just last week my two friends and I were skipping school to lay in the sun at the pond. Where does the time go?

    Holy shit first comment-woo hoo!

You always have fun stuff going on, my life is soooo boring compared to yours. Sounds like a great weekend is in store. Have a blast and try and stay sober ;)

You are only old if you let yourself be old and I did not see that. I know what you mean however. When I saw you type 14 I was rather surprised myself but they do grow up.

Have a wonderful time with friends and looks like a good weekend to have a get together with everyone. Come back with stories...

Aww hell, you're not old! You're alive and kicking with the best of us! I dig ya, woman!

Tell #1 that I'm sending HUGE birthday wishes for her. I'm sure she and her friends will have a great time at the pond!

Shoot. Considering all the activity coming up, just take these few days to rest up so you can make every body crazy on the weekend. LOL!

PS. Old is when you can officially order of the Bob Evans seniors menu (yes, I can) and you get mail from ...well, crap. Now I can't remember that insurance company's name. It's for old people.

OO OO. I know! Old is when you can't remember crap. (no, I can't)
