    I'm Addicted

I'm going to admit something that I don't tell people that I know in real life. I love reality tv. Stop rolling your eyes at me. I know that we are not supposed to watch it because it's taking jobs away from "real" actors but damnit, it's so entertaining.

Monday nights have WifeSwap which I was totally against in the beginning. I couldn't imagine how they could make a "family" show out of swinging, LMAO. What I found was that it's interesting to watch how different families live and how parenting styles differ. How can you not be amused when they swap a liberal vegan animal rights activist without religion from California with a conservative flagwaving hunter? Good times, I tell ya.

Tuesday nights bring Last Comic Standing. I have to stand up for my man Josh Blue. He has Cerebral Palsey and uses his disability in his act. That's some funny shit right there. NBC better not pull any of their bullshit like they did during the last show. They chose not to air the finale and then sold it to Comedy Central while disclosing to the media who the winner was.

Wednesday night is So You Think You Can Dance. Those crazy kids can dance.

Wednesdays also have Project Runway. I never dreamed I would watch that show since I could give a crap about fashion but damnit, it's entertaining to watch people scramble to make clothing in a few hours using only items found in their apartment. These people ripped the fabric off of their mattresses and the curtains off the windows. Entertaining I tell ya. I got sucked in during one of those marathons where they show the entire season. Yes, I sat and watched 8 hours of this crap in a row. Someone help me!

Oh, man, I can't believe that I've watched this much tv this summer. But wait! There's more.

Sunday nights have VH1's lineup. First up is Celebrity Fit Club 4. Nothing is more exciting than watching former hotties sweat while being yelled at about their current physique.

I'm really going to lose any respect you may have had for me when I tell you I watched Flavor Of Love starring your favorite Public Enemy, Flavor Flav. The premise is that Flav is looking for a mate (this is the second season) by choosing from a pool of 20 women. It just started this week and I'm not kidding you when I tell you that one of the women actually crapped on the floor! I'm just drawn to this stuff like, well, a fly to shit (pun intended).

I have read several books this summer but I keep getting sucked back in by the tube. Please tell me I'm not a freak. I'm waiting.

Oh my! You are one of them there TV watchers. LOL

I have seen wife swappers show a couple of times. I must admit it is funny when they take a spoiled little housewife that is use to doing absolutely nothing except of course spending her hubbies money while widdling away at his balls (poor guy, you know he's not getting any) and swap her out with a suzy homemaker that does everything from clipping coupons and greeting her husband at the door wearing nothing except for some Christmas lights and a smile.

Damn I do have away with making a sentence go on and on.

As far as the 'real' actors go I do not feel sorry for them one bit. They just need to get over themselves.

So this is the kind of stuff I'm thinking about at 3:40 a.m.

Btw, my idea of reality tv would be candid camera and cops. LMAO

HAHAHA!!! You crack me up! You'll regret I ever read this post - and commented. I am anti-tv. Not really, I just don't watch much at all. The only time I ever saw survivor was when the gal from Tennessee won. I watched that night. LOL I'm usually catching up on chores or doing something outside in the evenings this time of year. I have read a few books and *)@#$! I read a really good one a while back, realized there was a sequel and ordered that on Amazon.com. Found out it was a series of 3 - so ordered #2 and #3. Guess which one I got and which one I'm waiting on?????

P.S. Seriously - crapped on the floor????!!!

You’re not a freak! I am stuck on Survivor, Extreme Makeover: Home Edition, What Not to Wear, Dr. 90210 … jeez, maybe I’m the freak. LOL

I'm not familiar with these shows, except Wife Swap. We have our own version over here and it is absolutely hilarious.

We also have a show about swapping family holidays and that cracks me up too.

I like the idea of Project Runaway, I hope they run it over here.

OMG, I so need to get a job! LOL

Ok. So I don't want anything as religiously as you do...but I will admit that I think Celebrity Fit Club is a RIOT. The one with Willie Ames and the one with Daniel Baldwin had be agog with SHOCK and dismay. Anger management and drug problems abound!

I LOVED Top Chef on Bravo. I hear they're doing a second one right now. Can't wait for that!

I'm a Dancing with the Stars WHORE. My GOD. Love that!

Flavor of Love? Not so much. That's an accident waiting to happen. Bad mojo. Again, I'm admitting the impossible: I cannot look away from that show if I'm channel surfing. It's like the freak accident: ya can't look away.

Oh my! How could I leave out the nanny shows? FUCKING love the nanny shows. Dumbass people who put up with and ENCOURAGE their kids to spit, kick, curse, fight, and otherwise be menace children. And they simply CANNOT understand why the little angels won't listen. Assclowns. (Thanks, Terry!)

I think I should rent my OWN ass out for the nanny bit. Yeah yeah...that's it! No more summer school for me!

Shit. I think I just hijacked your post.

That Flav guys is like a damn train wreck, you can't look away. I didn't watch it but did catch parts of it a few times. And it was ''THE HELL??''

I also like Design Star on HGTV. Anybody?

    Survivor, off and on, yup.

And we are HOOKED on Idol, just the last two seasons, but totally hooked. You'd think we were music experts or something around here LOL!

Great post....the shows are obviously WAY more popular than some of us want to admit too (guilty!)

OOOO another, almost forgot, I REALLY like MTV Cribs. Some of those freaks...really, they don't deserve it. TACKY! ;)

Manny~ I'll admit to watching Cops a time or two. THAT is reality tv at it's finest.

Sass~ I didn't get into Big Brother. It's one of the few that haven't snagged me. I know that if I watch it, I'll be hooked.

Nonny~ I've only read 5 books this summer unless you count some of the ones my daughter makes me read. Then it's 9, but the girl's books are short with big print. I left out the Trading Spouses since it's not on this summer. I actually like that one better since there is money involved.

Tina~ You are a better woman than I. I get sucked into the tube easily and effortlessly. Seriously, crapped on the floor!

Sal~ Maybe you are the freak ;-P

Suze~ You need to get American TV. It's so mindless that you will be begging for silence.

BG~ I left off the Nanny shows because I thought my list was already ridiculous. I watch them both and shake my head the entire time. I think I need an intervention. Oooo...I also watch Intervention on A & E. God, I'm a TV whore.

Dirty Joke Sir~ Welcome and thank you!

Truck Driver~ Have you seen Flavor Of Love? It's like a train wreck that you just can't pry your eyes away from just like MilkMaid said.

MilkMaid~ I also watch Idol and feel like a music critic, heh! Guilty on Survivor too... I so need help.

LOVE project runway. and suze, there's a british version in the works, with elizabeth hurley hosting.

i, like sass, am also a faithful big brother viewer. i hate that show, yet i can't stop watching. and i even read some of the recaps from the live feeds! that's even lamer than taping.

love celebrity fit club... but i can't get into flavor of love. i can't understand why anyone would want to get near flavor flav.
i know -- money, "fame," whatever. still. EEUW.

So you think you can dance is a SHAM!
    A SHAM I say!
It is sooooo wrong to judge one persons TRAINED technique against anothers natural talent PLUS oh PLUS (I am on my soapbox and it's very high up here!)
    Art is NOT ABOUT COMPETITION!!!!
    It's about art!
    I hate that show.
