Never Expect Bloggers To Listen To Audio Posts

I'm feeling better, both physically and mentally. I still sound like my head's under water but I feel ok.

When I woke up this morning I felt much better, or shall I say, much more patient about still not having approval for weight loss surgery. The worst part is that if I do get approved, the surgery won't happen until probably November. It's going to suck to have new eating habits around the holidays. I was hoping to be well on my way to knowing my new diet by then. *sigh*

Life has been hectic to say the least. I'm the fundraising chairperson again this year at school. I made my life much easier by making the sale a pre paid sale. The last 3 years we have lost at least $1000 each year to dead beat parents who decide to use the PTA money to pay their rent. Nice thing to teach your children, eh? Anyhow, I knew we would bring in much less money than the previous years. 3 years ago we sold over $26,000 with just over 300 kids selling. This year we have $7,000 with only 75 kids selling.

I spent the last two nights adding up orders and counting money. I had to go to the bank alone today. I worry because people know I have fundraiser money and I hope they don't decide to come to my house or follow me to the bank to try to get it. Last year I deposited over $14,000 in one trip. I was super paraniod that day.

I'm too tired to tell you all the other crap I've been up to lately.

Ah sweetie. I left my earphones at work. I was planning on buying speakers this weekend.

Don't wear yourself out doing all your fundraising stuff. your health is more important.

Don't worry about the holiday eating. There will be many more holidays. I know, we can have more holiday food after you're all healed. Promise!

it's crazy what some people will do when they have money that isn't theirs ... your school and its students are lucky there are people like you with ethics and a commitment to the kids ... *smooches*

You know since you will probably get out of this soon you should probably be supervising people so they are ready to take over.

You really need to do prepay. People back out of things now a days and they never think twice about it. It is sad but it is so much easier to deal with a pre pay thing. Sorry the fund raising is down. How about a bake sale. I will buy something. :) I love Audio blogs tossed in every now an then. It is fun to put a voice to a person although I already know what you sound like.

I am feeling a little better. Hopefully you are too.

Unbelievable! How can parents take money from their own kids?

Glad to hear that you are feeling better. I'll send you a *hug* anyway.

I'm sorry I can't listen to audio posts. It sucks...but I am currently connected to dick-up at 28800bps. Yes, you saw that right. I'm one of those parents who really hates the fundraisers, sorry to say. The kids always want to win the prizes, work really hard, then go to school to realize that Country Club Mom just bought the stuff, herself, so her kid could win the $12 stereo and a lifetime supply of cavities. Sorry...eek...I really am. But, on a sidenote, my kids are selling, now, but my youngest has the cushier fundraiser. She's selling candy bars. Hmmm, I think I owe her $10. *sigh* Glad you're feeling better! *mwah!*

    Hey stranger!

I have to agree, I am not a big audio person, but I LOVE when people put up youtube vidoes of themselves. It's fun. You get to see them interact and talk at the same time.

I didn't know you were going to get that surgery. Are you scared? Is that the type of surgery where they literally make your stomach the size of a pea? And then if you overeat, it's really really dangerous? From what I've seen of you...I don't think you need that type of extreme measure to take on weight loss.

I hope everything goes the way you want it to.

    My thoughts are with you!

Manny~ I was hoping to be in the swing of things with my diet before I'm hit with the motherload of holiday carb food. I know I'll be fine. Thanks!

DZER~ One of the mother's took her kids on a family vacation to Mexico. I wish I could go to Mexico. No wait, make that Guam.

Barman~ Are you volunteering to take over, haha! I wish I had someone willing to do what I do so I could train them.

Kristen~ Don't admire me. Feel sorry for me.

Gab~ Glad you are feeling better.

Suze~ You know I'll tke hugs from you any time.

Navel~ Luckily, I had already gone to the bank when I wrote this post. I'm always thinkin' like that ;)

Friday~ Did you say something besides being on a dial up at 28800? How do you have the patience for that? Our school is lucky not to have the country club moms. We live in the inner city so things are pretty much on an even keel. Candy bars are the DEVIL!

Deb~ Howdy stranger! I definately not afraid to have the surgery. I look at it as a life saver. If you overeat you will throw up and feel really icky but it's not really dangerous.
