    The Reason Why

I almost took my camera to work thinking that someday I would see something blogworthy. Of course, I forgot it yesterday. The sun was brilliant and highlighted nature's handiwork. The icicles looked like jewels sparkling.

I grabbed my camera on my way to drop a kid off and was able to snap the pictures above.

I'm often asked why I stay in Michigan. I think the above pictures speak volumes. Yes, I hear you shaking your head (is that what that rattling is?). You say you hate snow and cold? Well, I love it. I love shoveling and driving in it. People around me want to slap me and often. I can drown out the grumbles about winter with my excitement. On a snowy day, I can hardly wait to get out and play.

I was born and raised in Michigan and can't foresee a reason to leave. Maybe when I get old and decrepit I will change my mind. Until then, I stand with my feet firmly planted in the snow.

I have to agree, it looks lovely over there. Like you I love to play in the snow, it's just that we don't seem to get much to have fun in these days.

Those are beautiful photos. I enjoy the first good snow of the season, after that forget about it. I lived in OH my entire life. The same town even. I have no desire to move, but sometimes 80 degrees in Jan. sounds really tempting.

Beautiful pics! Thanks for sharing them with us.

I was raised in Michigan and I used to love the snow. Now for medical reasons I can no longer tolerate it or the cold very well so I must make do with looking out my window (or at someones cool pics).

I love the pictures. It looked like that her a couple years ago. I will never leave Ohio!

Where I work, there are 2 buildings. A few years back we had a big snow storm. The building next door, I won't mention any names (ODOT!!!) was responsible for cleaning both lot's. I get to work, their lot was clean and dry, our's was packed full of snow, so I did what any girl would do in that situation, I started doing doughnuts in our parking lot. It was great fun until a gray shirt came out to where I was and gave me a tongue lashing. I'm not talking about the "good kind of tongue lashing" either. Jeez! Can't a girl have a little fun when she get's to work as early as I do. It's not like I was going to hit anything, I was the only one there. Ahhhhh ah ah ah ah He got back in his ride and started to drive off and I was able to get a couple more spins under my belt before he spotted me. He waited for me at the door, held it for me, and just shook his head. Lucky for me, my butt didn't get written up.

All in a hard day's work.

Like you I did not have my camera yesterday. Today I brought it into work and was not able to get out until lunch time. Hey, where did the ice go? Oh well, maybe next time. Just as well, I had work to do.

Those are both very lovely shots Sign. I love winter her in Michigan but to tell you the truth I like the winter in the UP. It is not a sloppy winter up there. One day I will probably leave Michigan when the winter is to much for me. Until then I love my seasons.
