    Hectic

I'm whipped. It's been a crazy week. Daughter #1 was honored at a breakfast yesterday as student of the month. Her English teacher nominated her. He wrote a letter and read it during the ceremony. He's very impressed with her respectfulness, which she better have if she's my kid. He also admired her love of novels and her verbal skills. Let me tell you, the girl's got skilz. She was born talking and hasn't stopped yet. Anyway, it was very nice to see my offspring honored in a school of 1600 and as a Freshman no less.

I won't bore you with the details of my crazy life, but suffice it to say, that it's busy.

My jeans were drooping in the butt so bad that I decided to get a new pair. I was pleasantly surprised to find some that were 7 sizes smaller than when I began my weight loss journey. I also found t-shirts on sale for $4. I bought a tank top that I'm sure will never see the light of day outside my home, but it made me feel like a girl to wear it, so I bought it.

I feel like the clothes I bought are way too tight, but everyone assures me that they fit.

This morning I had my jeans laying on the bed and I couldn't believe how close together the pockets were. You see, the fatter you get, the further apart your rear pockets get. My old ones look like you could score a goal between them (pun intended).

Please bear with me during this hectic time. I'll be back full force eventually.

Keep in mind prior to losing weight you probably tried to hide behind your clothes. Tried to have things that did not fit like possibly looser tops. Some times it is hard to find the proper clothes anyway.

Now you do not need to do that anymore. You can get clothes that fit and trust your friends and family. If they say it fits then, it fits.

Congrats on #1. All I can say is that every time I have seen your kids they have been the most polite and respectful kids I have seen. They have learned well from you two.

    Happy Mothers Day you...

Ya know, i do the same thing with clothes. I buy clothes that everyone says fit, but I'll go up one size just because i can't imagine myself wearing something so small. It's all a mental thing don't you think? It sucks at times to try to get yourself to believe.

School will be out soon enough and all will slow down. Or so we hope huh?

Good for you sweetie. Don't worry about being busy. Maybe we will both get to relax at the same time.

    Congrats to daughter #1

One of the things I enjoy most is the memories I make with Cassie. Congrats to your daughter!

Congrats to you too on the new jeans. I know exactly what you mean. I look at these pants now, and I'm like, "those are never gonna fit!" I swear the close pockets make an optical illusion! LOL

Enjoy, you'll be shrinking even more!
