    Hmmmmm......

Daughter #1 played the first game of a double header last night, then rushed home to get ready for a concert last night. The concert was wonderful. Barman was there taking pictures. It was great to see him again.

When we got home, daughter #1 told me that I'm smaller than my mother (she was there too). I couldn't believe it. I've been larger than my mom since I was in high school. Mr. Sign affirmed the claim. This is a very big ( or little) thing to me. I hadn't really thought about ever being smaller than my friends and family.

I'm pretty sure that I weigh less than my best friend now too. It's going to be strange for me since I've always been the fat friend and people kept me around to make themselves feel better about how they look.

I still have a long way to go (I want to lose 80 more pounds) but I can really feel the differnce.

They are so right. I noticed that very thing last night. Of course I would not say anything about it but...

You know what you are now? That friend that is an inspiration to everyone else to get off their own backside and do something themselves. Not everyone will do something but at least a few will.

You two look wonderful and the concert was super. I think next time I am fortunate enough to see them perform I need to just listen. You miss so much when you are taking pictures.

That is AWESOME!! You had to feel like a million bucks when they told you that. Not that it surprises me though as I have been telling ya for weeks now how small you are getting *grin*. You are sooooooo my inspiration in so many ways. Not just in weight loss but in life. ( EWWW are we allowed to post mushy moments like that here - wouldn't want to ruin anyones image or something LOLOL) Keep up the great work chickie! You are rockin life!

it made me a little sad to read that you are 'the fat friend they keep around to feel good about themselves.' i sincerely hope that's not true. i hope that whether you are big or small or whatver stage in between people see the wonderful you inside and cherish allthe good things you have to offer, regardless of your personal 'packaging.'

that being said, i do celebrate your accomplishment with you, because it is something you've deemed inportant.

Hmm... do people really keep friends around to make themselves feel better? That seems pretty shitty... and I would launch the person, the "friend" who I thought felt that way quicker than snot down a 2 year olds lip!

Congrats on the warm fuzzies though :) I have no doubt you will make those last 80 lbs fall off just like the first!

I was going to say something about the "fat friend" part of your post, but Lime and Chrissie beat me to it and said it better than I would have. :)

I'm so proud of you and happy for you, Jenn.

    You're doing great!

You are such an inspiration to us all. Please keep us posted!

PS, I always used my skinny pretty friends for trolling bait, so there is SOME justice in this life!

i know that even if your friends don't actually feel that way, sometimes that how a person feels when looking in a mirror

i agree with Barman. Now you are the inspiration.

I know how you feel - I was always the fat friend.. the fat sister. My little sister actually said once that she didn't know how she would feel when I was the smaller sister.

I recently asked all of my male friends how much they weighed so that I could see if I weighed less than them. I did weigh less than most of them. You know what was really great? - when I figured out that I weighed less than my bf. It makes me feel so much more .. womanly I guess. More feminine. I like being his little(r) woman.

anyone who keeps you around because it somehow makes them feel better doesn't deserve to have you around...

    hooray for you!

I bet you are LOVIN the extra energy, huh? That's the first thing I notice when I drop weight. I get much more perky which in turn, helps me lose more weight. LOL!

    YOU GO GIRL!

I can't ever imagine you being the ugly, stereotypical "fat friend" as I can't imagine you hanging out with such shallow people! Congrats on your on-going losses. You and I are both staring down those last 80 lbs or so - ok, 82 on my part as of Tuesday.
    Evil, evil, scale....
