    Flash 55, Take 20

    As the lacy flakes began to fall,
    Lexi began to get excited and opened her
    mouth to taste one on her tongue.

    The snow continued for days and Lexi's excitement
    turned to fear. What would she feed her children?

    She trudged through the banks taller than her.

    How would she explain the absence of horses?

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    I took some pictures on my way to work. The picture of the horses got me thinking about how in the past during times of blizzard and bad weather, people were forced to eat their horses.
    The snow has been beautiful here. I get so tired of listening to people complain about the snow. I mean really, why not try and find something you like about it since we have to live with it for 5 months out of the year? If it's cold, it might as well be snowy. Could it be more beautiful than this?
    *Please excuse the quality of these pictures as they were taken with my cell phone while driving. Yeah, I took my life into my own hands so I could bring my blog peeps these pictures.
    wow, girl! blogging first, always! hehe. but be very careful too. :)
    I love the snow pics. makes me miss all the holidays we spent in Michigan with my grandparents when they were still alive. My dad is up in Michigan right now visiting his sisters. He says he's freezing his ass off!! He grew up there but has been living in GA for years now. Not used to that cold any more. :)
    Have a great weekend, Sign!! Thanks for the sweet anniversary wishes. You are such a doll. :)
    It's refreshing to see someone who loves the snow instead of complaining about it.
    This snow was real pretty how the snow stuck to everything including the trees. Hey my only time I was not happy was when I was shoveling or having to drive in terrible stuff. For the most part I love snow. It is so beautiful. I would hate to trade it away for a place with only two seasons.
    Love the 55 and very nice pictures sign. Thanks for taking us along and teaching me about the plight of the poot horses. But now, both hands on the wheel!
    Yikes! I did not know that!
    I absolutely love snow. And even though I could do without winter forever, I always find it much more tolerable with the presence of some beautiful snow.
