    Flash 55, Take 27

    I had already given you your wakeup call,
    so I was surprised when I felt the bed jiggle
    an hour later as you got up to leave.

    I rolled over chastising you for not getting up
    and noticed that you weren't there.

    Why did the bed shake?

    I think I've been watching too much television.

    If you are interested in attempting to write a 55, you can visit here. If you do one, go tell G-Man that you did.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    This morning I was awakened by the bed shaking, like when Mr. Sign gets out of bed. I rolled over and started to tell him he was late when I realized he wasn't there.
    I tried to tell myself that I must have been dreaming that the bed moved and went about getting ready for the day. The local news was on as I was getting dressed and low and behold, they were reporting that an earthquake had been felt in Mid-Michigan at 5:36 AM.
    Whew! I wasn't crazy! At least not about this.
    OMG I got this little hot/cold feeling deep inside when you said that! I FELT IT! I was barely awake but when I read your flash I started to remember and freaked out! WAH!!!!!!!! One of the main things I love about NOT being in CA anymore is leaving the earthquakes behind! THEY FOLLOWED ME!!!!!!!!!
    apparently it was felt
    as far north as
    southern Ontario,
    (my little province),
    and originated in Illinois...
    Okay, this is kind of freaking me out.
    I didn't know this!!
    My goodness!
    Quite an informing 55.
    They better not come to Chicago, these earthquakes!!!
    This is the first time in a LONG time that I wished I had television to see what they are saying about it.
    The other day they found a wild cougar in Roscoe Village. That's the big deal here lately. Especially cos they shot it, instead of tranq-ing it.
    Apparently it traveled all the way from South Dakota.
    And then there were some sitings of another one in Skokie yesterday.
    The world is going nuts.
    If you're getting quakes when are we (in Seattle) going to get some of those super cool mid west lightening storms?! - not fair :P
    Maybe it wasn't the earth quake, but your house is haunted. That's spooky.
    Timely and topical, and well-written, too! Nice use of current events. Did it really wake you up? The Megamoo (located in the Greater Detroit Area) says he slept through it. How disappointing.
