    My Guts Are........Bleah!

I'm spent after writing the In-Laws. I feel like my guts are strewn all around me and people are stepping on them. It takes a lot out of you to write something so emotional.

Thanks to everyone who took the time to read all that drivel. I have printed it off and will someday give it to Mr. Sign and my girls. They have been trying to figure out my blog address and I really don't want them to know it. I couldn't be myself if they did. I did allow my sister to read some of this with me standing over her shoulder. I wanted to be able to tell her that she may not want to know some info regarding some sexual stuff. There's just some things you never need to know about family members. Right?

So, I still don't have my Christmas tree up. The kids are being very patient with me because they know that I've been working on the kitchen cabinets.

We are making the doors to try to match the existing ones. Mr. Sign sucks at measuring and since I do it everyday as part of my job I have done a lot of the work. They have to fit perfectly and putting the hinges on has become a problem. Someone slap me next time I agree to do another home improvement project. This was not my idea, it was Mr. Sign's. I was happy with the way it was before but he is always looking to keep buying new stuff. As I have said here before, I don't care if I never get another new thing. I'm perfectly happy with what I have. I know, I'm not your typical female.

I am running a gift shop at the school for the next 3 days. This kids get to buy for their families. It's fun to watch them get excited about giving something instead of receiving. Personally shopping with 300 kids can kill ya. I am short adult help and of course everthing is left on my back. Heh, I wish I was going to be on my back for three days...Back on topic....I have half a mind to cancel the whole thing but I cannot disappoint my kiddos. They do appreciate everything I do for them and if they don't, I kick 'em in the .....nevermind.

I've noticed a lot of bloggers feeling maudlin lately. It must be the holidays getting them down. I have a little voice inside my head (my mother's) that tells me to always be postive and happy. My father is a very pessimistic person and my mother countered him with positivity. I fight that fight everyday. When I feel pulled in my father's direction, I overdose myself on mom's feelings of happiness. Find a happy place, find a happy place.

First I have to get this out of the way: EWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW(Nice picture!) :)
Actually, I've noticed too that people seem a little sad these days.... think society puts too much pressure on everyone and everything this time of the year.

Sweet Man and I are in the middle of a "project" too. Right now all our den furniture is in our living room while we wait for the tile guy to finish the ceramic tile floor. He's actually just about finished-but we can't put our furniture back in the room until THURSDAY!!! Needless to say, no tree or any other form of onamentation in MY house right now!

Yes, you're right it seems that everyone seems to be coming down with pre Christmas blues.

So here's a big smile to brighten you day. :D

I think a lot has to do with seasonal affective disorder...NOT that you or anyone else has a 'disorder' per se, but it's from the lack of sunlight- shorter days, and longer nights that decreases our vitamin D levels. That vitamin is essential to our endorphins...(our 'feel good' chemical in our brain) .... Other than that, a lot of people have bad memories of their childhood when it was Christmas. It depends on each person.

The pressures of shopping can really dull the moment of the holiday too.

I wish that Christmas was more like Thanksgiving. Family and friends coming together, and bringing food and wine. That sounds so much more less stressful, and so much more pleasurable...right? I don't know--maybe it's just me.

    Great post sweetie!

All the darkness and the cold spell locally is making me nuts, sick and depressed.....that might have something to do with it.

On another note, the picture made me a bick sick. Can't enlarge it, but it looks pretty bloody.... nice job kid!

Jenn, I just clicked my heels three times and...hurt my ankle.
I've been sick the last couple of days, really bad today, stomach ache, nauseous, fuzzy head, etc but gotta keep working.

Take some stress off yourself this Christmas, go buy a small artifical tree with lights already on it, put it up and let the kids put a couple of things on it and wham bam thank you mam instant Christmas.

boy stomach is a weird looking word.

I have serious issues. I didn't even NOTICE the ickity pic until I scanned the comments. Sleep deprivation will do that to a girl!

I'm taking your word on this...I'm going to my happy place. Screw whatever it is that's fucking with my aura these days!

    PS
Husband Guy is a total home improvement whore. My sympathies on the doors and hinges, sister! Muddle through!
