    Casino Night

this is an audio post - click to play

Just some random observations as seen by me at the casino:

    • Lots of hot guys with really ugly chicks. I still can't wrap my head around that one.
    • Many missing teeth.
    • Oxygen tanks galore.
    • Too many young people. You only have to be 18 to gamble in that casino and it's a college town where there's nothing else to do.
    • Actually saw a woman die. No, really, dead. She keeled over on her machine and her nephew came over and tried to wake her. He pulled her head back and she fell on the floor. He called for security. It's a Native American casino so they have their own laws and they didn't even call the paramedics. She layed on the floor without breathing for 5 minutes and finally her chest began to rise again to my relief. They gave her some soda and got her a wheelchair. An hour later I saw her again still gambling in her wheelchair.
    • Huge bets by stupid people. $400 on a $10 minimum Blackjack table by a kid with a pair of fives that he split. The dealer was showing an eight. He lost it all of course.
    • Me saying shit a lot.
    • Many same sex couples betting together.
    • I'm not sure what the name of the game I was playing was. It was a giant wheel with money on it. You place your bets by putting your chips on the marker. $1 pays 1 to 1. $2 pays 2 to 1. $5 pays 5 to one etc. I have this uncanny ability to call the number it will hit mid spin. Of course it's one I didn't bet on. Twice I called the 40 to 1 and lost.
    • People are really gross. I saw more people pick their noses or lick their fingers and then continue to touch everything. I was beyond myself thinking about all the germs I was exposed to. Where's my Purell? Oh, yeah, it's in the car of course.
    • My friend getting drunker and drunker but playing Blackjack better as she became inebriated.
    • My infatuation with Native American men. Most are now wealthy because of the casino.
It's almost 2 am and I need to get some sleep. Now if I can just stop all those mental images from creeping into my dreams I'll be ok.

Ever noticed which people in a casino are smiling the most at the end of the night?

And doesnt that smile uncannily resemble a sharks? ;-)

so let's see, did you come in contact with all the 7 deadly sins?
    Pride
    Envy
    Gluttony
    Lust
    Anger
    Greed
    Sloth
    Yep, yep I think so...
    GOOD TIMES, GOOD TIMES!

That game you played I've seen before called "The Wheel of Fortune"...it's been called different things in other places. I've played it a couple of times, and had decent luck. Won 20 to 1 a couple, and 40 to 1 once.

We went to a casino while in Detroit once...I think it was Motor City Casino. Didn't win though.

Oh, and you only have to be 18 in Oklahoma to go to the casinos too...most other states we went you had to be 21. Damn, I never get ID'ed here anymore...guess my days of looking 18 still are over! Bummer.

I've never been to a casino, so this post was really an eye opener for me!

The woman who actually died?!?!?!? Crazy shit!

Like you audio post to! How do you do that?

Jenn, you sure do lead an interesting life. I wish I had the money to go.

*stamps foot* I need a job, so that I can do interesting stuff like that.

BTW, Alex said you have a very sexy voice.

    Michael~I saw some sharks alright!

Madame~Yep, I think they were all present.

MamaK~It's weird because there wasn't any sign stating the name of the game.

Big P~Yeah, it's scary the stuff that goes on in casinos. If someone commits suicide in the parking lot, the reservation doesn't have to report it to the police since they are their own state.

Suze~I'm going back to work today to try to make up for all that I've spent over the last two weekends.

Ell~I'm on my way right now. :-(

Gary~I'm good about setting a limit so it wasn't too bad.

WMY~OMG girl! I thought you were dead! Did you see that I took over your comment section? He he he!

Laurie~I didn't win but I didn't lose that much either. I got to play for over 6 hours so I paced myself. The old lady proves that you can't stop an addict.

I have never been to a casino but I think if you can walk away with out losing to much money then you are a true winner. Glad you had a fun time.

Oh my God, casinos scare me so much. I've been to a few of the casinos that Northern Michigan has to offer. I was really creeped out. I'm a tight ass with my money so seeing people that didn't look like they had any more money than I standing in line waiting to cash their pay checks just rubbed me the wrong way.

The story about the old dead lady and her one armed bandit was both tragic and tragically funny. A near death experience followed by a near triple cherry. I kept wondering what would happen if she jackpotted. Could her old ticker even take the excitement?

I was fine till I got to the picking noses part. AAAAACK!

I went to a casino in Peurto Rico (damn, that is spelled wrong, isn't it? It looks wrong.) ah, well....where was I?

Oh yeah, I was dead on determined to win enough money to buy a big screen tv with light up remote! LOL!

I became obsessed, I tell you! Obsessed! When the husband unit said, "C'mon it's time to go." I was like, "NOOOO! Not yet. I'm so close."

Phew. Good thing he got me out of there. I ended up $70 in the hole. I am a weak person. And a bad speller.

That sounds like an eventful night! I love the audio, it makes you real and you have a great voice. I am the friend who starts getting good the more I have to drink...although, once I am tanked then I just keep going and lose. Same goes for pool. I also am finding Native American guys quite attractive, we should hang out sometime!

casinos don't interest me in the least, I'm afraid I'd go on a bender and lose my car, house and all my posessions.
I'm sure I'd be saying "one more time", so better to stay away.

Nice post jenn, interesting except for the nose picking part...gross.
