    300 Sno Cones Later

I know I promised that I would post the Chicago pictures but I just haven't had time to download them off the camera. I will do it as soon as I can.

Yesterday was field day at #2's school. I'm the one who orders the ribbons and every year I worry that I didn't order enough. Of course I did. It was a beautiful day. Sunny and 86 degrees F.

I made Sno Cones for the kids. They greatly enjoyed them. I had to hold the parents at bay. They all decided that they deserved one. I had to gently remind them that every kid would have one before I would even think about serving adults. People are so stupid! It really pisses me off that people are so eager to step up for free stuff but no one is willing to help. I'm so sick of being the only one who cares enough to do stuff for the kids. I have one more year at #2's school and I'm out. I'm afraid that no one will step up to take over. Of course it's the kids who will suffer. No more popcorn on Fridays, new playground equipment, carnival, field day, computer software, t-shirt sales, or pizza parties just to name a few.

Tomorrow is the last day of school. I'm having a party on Saturday with all of the teachers and PTA members. I'm making Jello shots.

It is amazing all that you do SG. You know that sad thing is if everyone where to kick in just a little bit, a very little bit, it would not be to costly, it would not take to much of their time and it would make it so much easier for a go getter like you.

You know I bet they are going to hold your daughter back just so you don't get away especially if you bring in those Jello Shots.

By the way, I used to have a snow cown maker. That looks so yummy. Woo Hoo for school getting out.

good for you for going above and beyond not just for your kids, but all of them.

It's nice to see that there still are some good folks like you out there ... thanks on behalf of all the snow-cone loving kids of the world! *smooch*

    People are sooo very greedy.

When we do a charity event at work, all people can do is ask 'what do I get?"

I get upset so I can imagine how you must feel.

I want to say thank you for all your hard work.

Pssst, can i get a couple of those jello shots? ha haaha

    Sal~Thanks, sweetie!

Nonny~I could hook you up with a sno cone plus. It's my special mixture ;-)

Buddha Girl~You have got to come to Michigan. We could do some serious damage.

Pissy~The girl in the post isn't my daughter, lol. It's a picture from google. I thought it fit. I'll take the compliments, thanks.

Barman~I've been trying to convince th school that if everyone helped we would all have to do only a little bit instead of everything.

Terry~I thought that picture was so cool. Most of the kids who got one were busy asking if they could have another. Not quite as cute as the little girl in the picture that's enjoying hers.

DZER~I only do it for the kids. I think they should get the chance to have an adult care about them since many don't have parents who care. It's really sad.

Manny~Jello shots for everyone!!!! It really pisses you off when you are just trying to enjoy what is happening and everyone is worrying about what free stuff they can get.

Jenn, it's so true, there are so many takers out there and not enough givers. Yet, I bet they are the first to step up and take some credit.

The school will miss you more than they know, it's not just the fund raising but the friend you have been to them. But it won't be your problem.

I'll be over on Saturday for one of your jello shots.

When my kids were younger I was on the PTA was a girl scout leader for kindergarten,1st 2nd and 3rd graders all at same time. My hubby was boy scout leader and I was his helper(more like right arm) And no one bothered to help us at all. Tring to take the girls on any kind of field trip was out because no volenteers to drive. No one to help with all the different grades either so I would try to find something all the girls could do that the older girls could help the younger ones with. With the boys the only time I ever had help was when we did the garage sale then there were plently who drove around picking up the stuff and some to help sort it but when it came time for the actual sale no one was there. I was glad when those 3 years were over.
