    2 x 4

    Today’s 2 x 4 meme comes courtesy of DZER.

2 moments in your life you'd like to erase:

    • Being sexually abused as a 5 year old.

    • The phone call that told me my beloved grandmother was dead.

4 moments you'd like to relive:

    • First moment holding each of my babies.

    • My senior year in high school.

    • The summer of '88.

    • The moment I knew Mr. Sign really loved me.

2 places you wouldn't want go to/go to again:

    • My uncle's farm.

    • Any funeral home.

4 places you can't wait to visit/visit again:

    • Africa. My mom and I want to go together.

    • Versailles, France. It's beautiful.

    • England. Never made it on my European tour. I'll call you, Suze, when I get there ;)

    • My grandma's kitchen when she was cooking.

    2 foods you can't stand:

    • Seafood. I can stand cod or fish that doesn't taste like fish.

    • Cloves. They can ruin an entire dish.

    4 foods you love:

    • Beef of any kind with the exception of liver, kidney, tongue (why would you eat something that could taste you back?) or heart.

    • Cheesy potoatoes. I make a killer version that's super easy.

    • Carbohydrates. I'm a carb whore.

    • Dairy products. I grew up living summers on my grandfather's dairy farm.

2 current songs that make you change the station:

    • Any country music song. It angers me.

    • "Buttons" by the PussyCat Dolls. This song just grates on my nerves.

4 current songs you play over and over:

    • "How To Save A Life" by The Fray

    • "Just Breathe" by Telepop Muzic

    • “One Headlight” by the Wallflowers (awesome choice, Mr. D)

    • “Crash" by Dave Matthews Band

    2 books you'd never finish/read again:

    • Any self help book. Yuck.....Bleah!

    • Romance novels. See above comments.

4 books you have read more than once, and/or will read again:

    • All the "Little House On The Prairie" books.

    • "The Watcher In The Woods" by
Florence Engel Randall. Strangely, I've been unable to locate this book from my childhood. It was made into a movie in 1980.

    • "Of Mice And Men" by John Steinbeck. This story haunted me.

    • "The Shining" by Stephen King

    Tag 2-4 people:

    Nonny

    Sal

    Barman

and anyone else that wants to join in.

We've all got books from our childhoods we can't reread. Myself, I've been trying to find a copy of the Necronomicon, to no avail.

    Alas!

Awww, you tagged me! I was gonna steal this meme anyway (haha).

I totally agree about the Pussycat Dolls. They make me sick.

"Of Mice and Men" is extremely depressing.

Jenn, you have to come over and show me how to do the cheesy potatoes. In return I will take you to see some strippers. ;)

Oh and bring some of that music because I haven't heard any of those bands.
