    This Little Piggy

My friend bought me a gift certificate to have a pedicure for my birthday. We decided to have them done together. I've never had one before so I was excited because I had heard that they were relaxing.

We noticed as soon as we entered that the salon was under construction. We waited for 15 minutes (after our appointment time) to even be acknowledged. Finally, a young chick (that had been sitting at a nail table painting her own nails) spoke to us. She said it would be a few minutes before they were ready for us. No biggie as we weren't in any hurry.

They brought us back to one recliner. My friend had to sit in an office chair which was not relaxing. I had to put my feet into a metal (cooking prep) bowl that was filled with water, oil and small stones. It felt pretty good.

The poor girl who did my pedicure had to have my big leg and foot resting in her lap since they didn't have stool. I spent the entire 2 hours holding my legs up so I didn't hurt her. Not real relaxing.

My friend got the chick who had just painted her nails. Who paints their nails before giving someone a pedicure?

I had my feet & legs scraped, oiled, rubbed, nails filed, hot rock massage and nails polished.

While it wasn't the most relaxing time, it was time away from home without kids with my best friend.

(The polish color is called Sneaky.)

My feet and legs are softer than they have ever been. Can I rub them on you?

OH NO!!! Find a place that put's you in a massaging reclyner, hands you the remote control, with a little whirpool to soak your feet Other then that, the leg and foot massage is the same. I hope this is just one of many you'll get to enjoy.

They may do this when not under construction.

I go to the same little Asian lady named Anna. She's the best.

What pretty tootsies you have. I've tried pedicures but my feet are SO damn ticklish that it's more agony then it's worth. It always sounds nice though.

I've only ever had one pedicure in my life. I didn't like it. I also didn't like the manicure either. Maybe it's the people touching me aspect, but I don't think it's worth the money.

And thanks bitch, after your comment I went home and totally got hooked on the Next Top Model marathon.

I love pedicures, only its sounds like yours wasn't quite so relaxing. Hopefully next time you can have a better one....

That color so looks good on you. Even though it did not go perfect, isn't it nice to have some me time every now and then. Good for you.

That's a pretty colour! But what a crap pedicure experience! Under construction or not, that was horrible customer service.

I didn't like pedicures at first... I'm ticklish and was very self-conscious about somebody handling my feet like that. I mean... ew! But I have grown to love - nay, require - them over the years. I don't have a lot of time for these little luxuries now but I try to fit one in at least every other month. Next time I'm going to look for that awesome colour!

Very cute! We have something in common--"Morton's Toe," the second toe protruding farther than the first. I learned this reading comments to my blog. Blogging is so educational!

What kind of nail place doesn't have a stool? What's up with that, I got to the ching ching china man place and they got chairs that give me a damn orgasm with all the kneading and vibrating this thing does, you gotta try that!
You do have sweet toes though...
