    Silver Bells In The City

The family, including my parents went to the lighted Christmas parade last night. After the parade, they light the State Christmas tree (...errr... holiday tree. Nope, I'm gonna call it what it is, Christmas tree.) It was the best yet! There were over 100,000 people on the streets and the parade itself lasted over an hour. It was pretty packed which helped keep me warm. I'm not above rubbing on strangers to produce a little body heat. Hey, a girl's gotta do what she's gotta do when she's lost so much of her winter insulation and it's 33 degrees. Not to mention, we stood in the cold for 3 hours. Burrrr...

Where else but Michigan do people decorate snow plows to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Macinaw Bridge? I kid you not, here is where our hard earned tax dollars are spent:

I tried really hard to get some good pictures the fireworks that were fired off above the state capital. I learned that you have to listen and click as soon as you hear them or you miss it. This picture is a still from a movie I took. It turned out better than most of the stills I took.

Here we have a frozen solid Mr. & Mrs. Sign. I froze my balls off...if I had some. The coat is 80% down and I call it my marshmallow coat. I can't bend my arms. Daughter #1 took this picture. She did great except for the freakish lady behind me.

Now, you know I'm a movie making fool, so I've made you another. You may ask why I didn't use the song, Silver Bells. That little gem is copy written to the hilt. Grrr.. Enjoy anyway! Go Blue!!

That is awesome and you know what, I was about 150 feet away from you for the fires works. With all those people, who knew. Great parade but yea, I was a little chilly after a 1 hour parade. But I had a couple of beers in me to offset that.

    Great movie...

    Go Blue.

Wow! We don't have anything like that here. We do have a winter parade, but it's not nearly as glamorous.
The video was so fun! I had a Griswold flashback when I saw the school bus though! lol!!

    Have a great weekend!!

Sal~ Why must you keep tormenting me? GO MICHIGAN!

Barman~ I can't believe we were that close to each other! I've never seen that many people down there.

Snowelf~ It was pretty glamorous, but cold. I have Griswold flashbacks almost daily, lol!
