    Now, For Your Entertainment...

    I did something I haven't done since I weighed 384 pounds. No, I didn't eat a Twinkie.

I took the girls ice skating. Yes, even at that huge weight, I still tried to be "normal" and put my ginormous butt on ice skates. It was hard for me to make it even half way around the rink before because of the weight on my ankles. I did it to try to take an active roll with my girls.

Today, I was able to go and go and go. My kids kept telling me to sit down and take a break. I didn't need to.

    Here is #1

    and #2

    #1 looking all teenagerish

#2 being the star that she is

I wish I could say that I'm graceful on ice,
    but then I'd be lying

I never fell, so that's gotta be saying something

I had a great time skating behind all the cute dads trying to help their little ones. I tried to take a picture of my view, but some kid almost knocked me over and I had to protect my camera.

Today, I felt almost like a "normal" mom. It was a good day.

I used to ice skate...when I was 15 yrs. old. I wouldn't do it today. I don't like falling down. LOL

You are a normal Mom... well as normal as you get but I know what you mean. How fun was that? Ice skating was something I never could do even when I weighed much less. Roller skating, now that I could do.

Great pictures. Glad you got your skating in. I looked outside this morning and all that is left of the snow is the mounds where the snow had been shoveled.

Lime~ I whole heartedly agree with not being an advocate of "normal". I just didn't want to be like the mom in the movie "What's Eating Gilbert Grape".

Manny~ You need to get back out there on the ice. I never fell, although I do fall when on solid ground.

BTE~ Come back to Michigan and we can make a train on the ice. Ooo...that sounds so dirty!

G-Man~ I wish I could skate like Dorothy. I was doing my best to keep my butt off the ice.

    Pissy~ Thanks!

Barman~ I used to be pretty good at roller skating. That will be my next conquest. Last time I went was with 1st graders and I was so afraid of falling on one and killing them that I quit.

    Hey it’s a “Hottie On Ice” I wish I had tickets. :(

It’s been awhile since I’ve been ice skating.

    Go Buckeyes!

This is something I've been dying to do again -- you may have just motivated me to do so!

    :)

Casdok~ I'm not really sure, having never been one ;)

Katie~ Ouch!!! I cannot imagine that pain. Hard to explain to the doctor too.

Yippeeskip~ I will heed your warning. I'm sure it wouldn't taste as good as I remembered.

Sal~ Come to Michigan so we can skate!

Donna~ Get your booty on that ice. You won't regret it for a minute.

Gurl. . . . I thought it was interesting that you said that you knew what it felt like to be a normal mom. I don't think the rest of us really know the stigmas that you dealt with continually.
I have not skated in years. . . . I wasn't good then so I hate to see what the age factor has done to my skating.
    Ciao

Hmmm define "normal mum" for me..
You look fantastic.. and it must have been an awesome day for the girls...
I used to rollerskate as our ice skating rink closed before I was old enough to go....

Sicilian~ One can never know the traumas obesity lead to without living it. It's horrible.

    Jon~ Thank you!

Monkey~ Nice to see you around.

    PJ~ Welcome and thank you!

Terry~ I don't know about normal, but I'm working on being a better mom.

Man, you make me wanna go ice skating!

Unlike yourself, I WOULD fall though, I'm quite sure.

I'm awesome on roller skates, but ice skates....it's been awhile.

I LOVE the pic with #1 being all 'teenagerish.' It's too great.

It looks like you guys had heaps and heaps of fun and you make me wanna have just an ounce of your motivation to get out and do fun things in the cold.

    Happy Winter Fun!
