    Meh

As much as I hate to admit it, I'm starting to loathe the weather we are having. It was 36 degrees on Sunday and this morning it's 9 degrees with a -10 wind chill factor. Add to that the fact that we got more snow yesterday and our county has no more salt for the roads and I'm ready to blast out of here.

How in the hell does Michigan run out of salt? Detroit sits on one of the largest salt mines in the world and we can't find a little to throw on the roads? Whatever! I'm over it.

This winter will go down as one of the hardest here in more than 30 years. Come on Spring, BRING IT!

about the salt: I KNOW! WTF????

As far as the snow, I'm ok with it as long as we don't have any more snow days where the kid is MY responsiblity. ;P

Spring is here in San Diego, 76 degrees, the sun is going down later and my dark mood is lifting. Come on down for a visit!

Tell me about it. Today I started to stop for this one intersection about half a block away. I had a choice, either try and get to the curb and see if I could stop or pray. I tried the latter and would have stopped in the middle of the intersection but I decided to keep going. There was another car heading my way that I was worried might not be able to stop either.

It is one thing to have a decent winter but to keep having warm then cold than warm then... the streets are a mess from all the thawing and freezing, lately we have been below average temp, above average snow. The snow might not be so bad but it seems like there are very few days where there is no snow.

I am hitching a ride to Florida with G-Man. Shhh, don't tell him.

Yeah, WTF is up this salt situation?? I guess Wayne County got a 30,000 ton shipment & Oakland COunty is "borrowing" some. Fucked up.

    Yuck.

Today is a beautiful 78 degress and not a cloud in the sky.

I'm in shorts and flip flops.

But the grass isn't always greener, we have earth quakes.

Mona snow is a wonderful thing but it also means it is very cold. The few Indian programmers we had did not like the cold at all. We almost had Anish talked into doing snow angles. He was a good guy and would go along with almost anything.

When it snows it is very beautiful as the snow provides a very lovely blanket of white over everything. It is like nothing has been touched. Of course the down side, other than it being cold, is it gets very slippery too. To help keep the roads so we can drive on them, they put salt on the snow that is on the roads to melt the snow and give us some traction so we do not get in accidents. Since we are running low on salt, they are not able to put down much salt at all and thus the roads really scary to drive on.

The road gets icy from all the cars travelling on it..
Salt melts the snow and ice so that traffic can flow smoothly...

AMEN SISTER!!! Although I would be happy to send you the salt from my poor car!!

We've expended our budget for plowing in the city where I work.

I'm like HELLO!!? It's freakin' Wisconsin!! There should be enough money in the budget to snow EVERY DAY and be able to handle it. And it's barely snowed here for the past three winters? What did they do with that extra money?

Guess they didn't save it for a "snowy" day. ;)

    Hurry UP SPRING!
