I'm happy to report that I'm Back In Black (I'm listening to AC/DC). I am feeling much better, thank you very much. I have also lost 9 pounds since 5 PM on Tuesday. I'm hoping to hold on to some of that loss. My weight is 187 which means I have lost a total of 197 pounds. Woot!! Can you believe how close that is to 200?
I still have to try and eat something but was able to get a protein shake to stay down (and in). Most people don't understand that as a gastric bypass patient, I need to be careful of hidden sugar (like in Gatorade) because they can make me even more ill and dehydrated. I'm going to check out the new G2 from Gatorade. It may be less sugar.
The weight loss surgeon's office really pissed me off yesterday. I called to ask them what I should do since I was becoming so dehydrated. The nurse suggested I come in and give a stool sample. I told her I had given enough to the porcelain god in the last 12 hours and I didn't want to give another. She said that I could have some funky bacteria in my intestines. I certainly hope not because my colon has never been cleaner (TMI). Any way, the nurse was supposed to call me back and call in a prescription. She never did either. Lucky for her and me, I didn't die.
My boss (my step dad) is out of town along with my mom and my youngest daughter on a 6th grade field trip to Niagara Falls, ON so I had to come to work today. I'm taking things really slow and trying to rehydrate.
Thank you for all of your concern. Hopefully none of you will get this hellacious virus.
