    Feeling Groovy

My weight has been fluctuating a lot lately. We spent a weekend at my friend's house in Holland and I didn't get much protein. I also had 2 alcoholic beverages. When I weighed in on Monday, I had gained 8 pounds! I knew that most of it was water since my cankles were super swollen. Still, I was terrified.

I got right back to my normal routine with food and exercise and was able within 6 days to get back down.

I know now that if I don't keep my calories below 1700, I will gain weight.

It's frustrating because after 20 months, I just want to be done and in maintenance. I'm 10 pounds from reaching my original goal of 180. I'm not sure I'm going to look any different at that weight. Hell, I may just look more hideous since I seem to lose all the weight in my face.

I'm still working out like a fiend. I feel so guilty if I don't do it every day. I do 3 days a week at curves and walk 4-6 miles a day, 4 times a week. The walking is really my favorite since finding the most awesome park that has walking trails back into the woods. I crave going there to find peace and quiet every day.

Who would have ever thought that I would be such a freak about exercise? I really do feel so much better when I do. I used to hate it when people said that. I guess I was jealous.

Anywho, I'm here and still working on being a loser and loving every minute of this new and improved life. I feel sexy and almost beautiful at times. I never thought I would feel this way.

I've heard that about exercise. It's addicting. But that is so not a bad thing! :) HUGS Jen!

    Look at you!
You're radiating such a gorgeous glow!

It's really true what they say about those endorphins!
When you exercise they just pop out and make you feel groovy!

Where are all the pictures on blogger?

G, Are you saying I smell bad? Remember, I don't sweat.

Lori, the pictures are playing peek a boo.

Dark Lady,I never believed you when you told me how awesome exercise is. I guess it's just one of those things you have to experience yourself.

Jenn, you're are looking good and your hard work proves it. I think you're one of those successful persons who can proudly shout out, hey look at me I have succeeded with all the ups and downs, pains, and so on.

You deserve to be commended and acknowledged for all that. Keep on rocking. You're doing good kiddo.

    Almost beautiful?

Just look at that photo objectively, like it was someone you didn't know. Wouldn't you say she was more than almost beautiful?

    And she can mix concrete.

Jenn--congrats to #1! I had the same scary ass experience when I took my drivers test, except it was "Mrs. Sunshine"

And double congrats on almost reaching your goal. Can you even believe it. :)

You look MARVELLOUS! Slow and steady wins the race. For DSers, it means as much to keep our protein high, as our carbs low. I'm not sure how that works for other WLS. Your body may have found a temporary "roosting" point to recover from all of the losses of the past 20 mos. Keep doing what is right and exercise love towards your body - you've been through a lot together!

    Rebicmel~ Thank you so much!

Shy~ It's very hard to see what I actually look like, as I assume it is for many women. We only see the bad when we look in the mirror. I'm handy in more than one way ;)

S~ Thanks, Susie! Good to see you around.

Snowelf~ #1 is going to make me insane wanting to borrow the car! Sorry your experience was bad.

Mona~ You are just gorgeous yourself!

Lime~ It's truly amazing to me how different my life is now. I no longer sit around and worry about what I'm missing out on. I'm now out enjoying life and living it to the fullest.

Lalepro~ I'm learning to love my body, lumps, skin and all. Our bodies are truly amazing machines, aren't they? As for the carbs, they are also the enemy of RNY'ers. I try to balance them, but some days are better than others.
