    Victoria's Secret

I've always had issues finding a bra that fits correctly. When you wear a size 48 DD, you don't have a lot of choices where you buy them from. I've been wearing the same bras for the last year, even though I know they are less than supportive. I couldn't seem to find anything that worked.

Last night, Mr. Sign and I were on a date. We had fish at the local Irish pub and then walked around a shopping center. I saw Victoria's Secret and immediately dismissed the idea of going inside.

In the past, when I entered a store, I was lucky to find someone to wait on me. I had to seek out the help who usually acted put off by the fact that I wanted them to do their job. Victoria's Secret did not carry my previous size but since I really had no idea of what size I am, I decided to give it a go.

Upon entering the store, a cute young girl approached me and asked if I needed help. I stuttered and stammered that I had no idea why I was even there as I was beyond help. I took a deep breath and slowly spit out that I had lost almost 200 pounds and had no idea what size bra I wore or even if she could help me.

She took me right on back to the dressing rooms and measured me. She then brought me a whole bin of bras in my size to try. How could shopping for a bra be this easy?

Mr. Sign told me that he was going next door and to buy anything I wanted. He's a good guy that way.

I tried on at least 15 bras and the sales clerk just kept giving me more suggestions. I finally made up my mind which one I wanted and left the dressing rooms. Another clerk came up to me and congratulated me on my weight loss as did several other customers. I felt like I was on a stage. Weird!

I purchased my first Victoria's Secret bra. The size you ask? 36 DD. I tried wearing it around the house a bit today, but the straps fall off my shoulders. I'm going to take it back and see if I can find another one.

I am so amazed at how well I was treated. This store made spending 50+ dollars on a bra almost painless. Thank you VS!

Mr. Sign and I went to the movies and saw Superhero Movie. Don't waste your money. I'm all for moronic humor, but this movie was just discombobulated and slow.

Hope you all had a great weekend. On to the next!

The thing I love about VS bras is that they really DO have consistent sizing. Once you find what style & size fits, you can order them online from their clearance sections and save money.

I'm glad you had a good experience. What's sad is how you had to spend so many years ignored by them.

wow, i am glad to hear you had a positive experience there. the ones i have been in seem to be staffed by people told to ignore anyone over the age of 30.

I hate bra shopping even though I love bras and panties.

I'm so glad you had a good experience! Shame on the idiots who treated you like crap in the past and congrats on holding your head high!

    Hey Signgurl, :)

You know what a jammie-freak I am, so I think VS is fabulous...and I had a friend back in StL (although she moved to FL now) who worked at VS for years and she was, like us, well endowed. (Maybe TMI, but we wear the same size minus one D, Signgurl! 36's in plain D cups are MISERABLE to find, let alone DDs!).

Anyway, she said it was so important for her to help women get a good fitting bra because she struggled so much with it herself. I'm so shy about stuff like that, so it was her that took me bra shopping when I was pregnant to make sure I got a good fit!! What a friend!
I'm glad you found someone who cared for you as much as my friend cares about others!

I saw the new Biofits, and I'm curious if that's what you got because I'm wondering how they fit. They look very pretty. :)

(And P.S. to Lime: I am SO disappointed in your VS girls!! That is terrible!)

yes they treat you well Those Victoria secret people! :)

I got a drawerful of bras & swim wear for trail too at an LA mall & I got some red lace & sets & a leopard print set! :)

& then Later At Ross I found some goof VC pieces at almost 1/3 the price at the retailers at the mall!

The best place to shop for undergarments for me was Dubai. It had some good Spanish & Italian & French lace stuff & wonderful corset tops. You see variety from the best from world over there.

Wow that is wonderful how that all worked out. You know if they would only make their customers feel special and be so helpful they would have a customer for life. Boy first you can shop at regular stores for clothing now you can shop at VS for unmentionables... you have come a long ways.

You go girl! It's been amazing to watch not just your physical transformation, but your emotional one as well. You are so different, yet still the same, in so many ways. I am proud of you!

Oh Yeah. Great story Jenn. Oh what a feeling. I love VS bras. That was so cool and feeling normal is kind of out of our box huh (so you really notice the little things), but loving every minute of it!

    Sexy Jenn! :)

First off, Good for you on the Victoria's Secret trip! Even though it was weird I bet it was exciting to be able to choose from so many bra's.

Thanks for the advice on the Superhero Movie. Unfortunately, I have to young kids. So I have no choice...I'm going.

Gurl . . . I have been in VS several times and have yet to get a bra that fits. . . I am usually falling out one side or the other.
I am so glad that you have had a good experience.
Wearing pretty undies makes you feel like a million bucks.

Victoria's Secret is just one of the MANY stores on the Strumpet's Dangerous Stores List.

Meaning if I even take ONE single STEP inside... I have no control over not spending at least a hondo.

    I love the pretty things.

I love that they bring you a bin full of a million bras to try on and you hardly have to do any work.

I love that they sell panties Four for Twenty and what have you.

I love that they send you coupons in the mail for free panties from time to time.

I love that they have a million and five toiletries that smell really, really yummy.

I love to look at all the hot women in the catalog.

You are making me jealous with your post.

I really need a new bra.

    Maybe several.

What colour bra did you get?

I'm really happy that you had a great time at such a sexy place.

I'm really happy that the Vickie's Ladies treated you well THIS TIME and were able to help you out!!

But, mostly, I'm really happy that you went inside and decided to play, because I'm sure it wasn't easy. You freaking rock, Sign-babe.

I hope the new bra you get has straps that don't fall down.

Maybe you should try a racerback.

The bra I wear most often, that I wear a lot to school, is a racerback.

It's UBER-comfy AND it makes my tits look FANTASTIC.

Only it's from Target cos I'm poor.

But, Target has cute bras too.

    It's pink.

But, there are no salesgirls to help you find things. I'm a 36C, which is like the most popular bra size ever, and when I find a style I like at Target I search through them all only to find that my size is all gone.

But, I have found some REALLY cute ones there too, with patience. Like a red one with pink polka-dots.

I hope you had fun on your date! Irish places are a blast!!

I love this awesome girlie post!!!

    It's so stellar.

    xoxo

Oh that had to be soooo exciting for you and what a milestone. I think that is awesome. Obviously she respected you enough to share with others so they could congratulate you as well.

I myself, am with lime on that one. They IGNORE me...WTF? Oh well...such is life ;o)

Sweetie, do yourself a favor and the next time you are at a Nordstroms, go and get fitted there. It's good to have options in general and not least in the "over-the-shoulder-boulder-holder" department. If you go in this month, Nordstroms will donate $2 to breast cancer research - regardless of whether you buy a bra or not. I have to hie myself back there or to my good fitter in SF, as I suspect I'm now a 34-35. My girls continue to decrease, which is a positive for me. The smaller my cup size gets, the easier it will be for me to find bras at all. As you know, I'm in the 50-dollar-a-tit club, and this so doesn't make me happy. Mazel tov on finding a VS close to you with someone who can fit you at least on an approximate basis.
